Lewis Capaldi plays exclusive free gig for primary caregivers at O2 Forum Kentish Town

• O2 Forum Kentish Town was full accessible for the first time to meet the needs of the night's guests

Friday 31 July 2026: Following a headline set at Latitude Festival, Lewis Capaldi played a very special show for primary caregivers in the capital at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on Tuesday 28 July. The free concert in partnership with UK charity Carers Trust, who work to transform the lives of unpaid carers across the UK, and disabled awareness charity ABLE2UK, which provides exclusive experiences for disabled people, was the first of its kind for the London venue. The exclusive event saw the space become fully accessible to meet the needs of the night’s guests. 

The Scottish global superstar delighted fans with number 1 singles ‘Before You Go’, ‘Wish You The Best’ and ‘Forget Me’, closing out the set with his mega-hit ‘Someone You Loved’.

Following the show, Leo Visconti, Director of Income Generation and Engagement at Carers Trust, said: "This event was a wonderful opportunity to bring carers together and recognise the vital work they do every day. For many carers, an evening like this is about much more than enjoying live music. It's a chance to take a break, connect with others, and feel valued and appreciated. 

"We're incredibly grateful to Lewis Capaldi for helping shine a light on carers and creating such a memorable experience. While recognition like this is hugely important, we will continue to call for carers to receive practical support to balance caring with work, education, finances and their own wellbeing. We hope this event helps raise awareness of the important role carers play and the support they need to thrive." 

ABLE2UK CEO and Founder Howard Thorpe, said: “The Lewis Capaldi show for me can be summed up by a conversation I had with a mum I met when I was leaving the venue. The mother was crying. At first I was concerned - worried about what had happened. She held her arm out to shake my hand. She wanted to thank me for putting on an accessible gig. She told me her son - who was too young to attend - has cerebral palsy. She knows he would struggle to go to mainstream concerts when he’s older. She told me ABLE2UK has given her ‘Hope’ that there will be similar events in the future so her son can enjoy live music.

"This was the third ABLE2UK accessibility concert in 20 years because it takes so much time securing a huge act.  I hope to do more. I will do more. Hopefully it won’t be so long next time… there’s an act I have my eye on, they know who they are. I think it’s time to start sending out a few emails again.”

Lewis recently wrapped his sold-out, most ambitious North American headline tour to date with performances including the Hollywood Bowl following — among other massive shows — back-to-back dates at Colorado’s storied Red Rocks Amphitheatre and his acclaimed Madison Square Garden debut. 

He is also currently undertaking his biggest ever UK & Ireland headline shows, which included two sold out outdoor headline performances at London’s 65,000 capacity American Express presents BST Hyde Park earlier this month and Capaldi fast approaching one million tickets sold globally this year alone.
