State Champs

State Champs are living proof that pop-punk is still alive and well. Since the release of their debut album, The Finer Things, back in 2013, the Albany band have had a quick rise to the top of the ladder. Led by huge hooks, emotive lyrics and choruses bigger than your nan’s plate collection, they’re on track to become the new kings of the genre and their latest full-length, Living Proof only cements their destiny as the leaders of a new pop-punk generation.

As It Is

On The Great Depression, As It Is’ third album, they’ve taken themselves into new territory and pushed themselves further than ever before. Sprinkling influences from post-hardcore greats into a great big bowl of distinctive As It Is flavours, mixed with some dark tones that tackle hard-hitting subjects – it’s a recipe for success. As It Is are a band who have continued to evolve with each record and this one is no different, we can’t wait to see how it translates live.

Bowling For Soup

If you think pop-punk isn’t Christmassy, well then you’d be wrong. As we head towards the festive season (no, it’s not too early), we’ll subtly be adding Christmas pop-punk covers to our playlists and grabbing tickets to the most festive event of them all, Bowling For Soup’s, The Almost Christmas Tour. Performing hits such as ‘Tinsel All The Bad Guys Want’ and ‘Christmas Never Ends’, this is the perfect way to get ready for Santa’s visit.

Tonight Alive

It’s hard to believe that Tonight Alive have been a band for a whole decade, but here they are, returning to the UK to celebrate the anniversary with a string of intimate acoustic performances, as well as full band extravaganzas. In their time as a band, they’ve given us five incredible albums, including the recent Underworld, which saw Tonight Alive as mature and emotional songwriters who continue to thrive with each and every album. But before they look to their future, it's time to reminisce with some old favourites from the past.

The Story So Far

Back with their new album, Proper Dose, The Story So Far have come out of hibernation and transformed into a new animal. Far from the band they were upon the release of their 2011 debut, Under Soil And Dirt, they’ve now matured, both personally and sonically, and although they’ve kept much of their distinctive sound, their latest offering takes the band on a new path. Don’t worry though, there will still be plenty of crowd surfing opportunities and pop-punk pit starters on their upcoming tour.

WSTR

Fresh off a tour throughout America with Neck Deep, WSTR are heading back home and straight out on the road to show off their brand new album, Identity Crisis. In our interview with vocalist, Sammy Clifford, he said the band had been, “A lot more fearless” with the new album, amping the rock levels up to 11 and aiming for a bigger sound overall. Perhaps their most accomplished work to date, it’s going to sound epic performed live.

Better Than Never

Do you want the good news or the bad news? Okay, so the bad news is Better Than Never are calling it a day (sob), but the good news is they’re doing a final farewell show to see out five fabulous years in style. Alongside the release of EP, Something Left To Talk About, on which they worked with fellow pop-punk pals, ROAM, the band will be celebrating all that they achieved in their years together and giving high-fives to each and every person who’s supported them along the way.

This Wild Life + William Ryan Key (Yellowcard)

Starting life as a fully-fledged pop-punk band, This Wild Life decided some years ago to slow things down a notch and focus on the acoustic side of things and fortunately for them, it worked out. Now three albums deep, they’re finally comfortable in their skin and latest full-length, Petaluma is a stunning record full of intricate melodies, folk influences and the moving words they’ve always had a knack for writing. So take some time out from the pit and enjoy the calm that the duo and their friend, Yellowcard's William Ryan Key, will bring, you deserve it.
