This Is Why You Should Come To Emo Nite

Posted: Friday 18 May 2018

If you grew up listening to emo, punk, rock-pop, pop-punk or any other form of sub-genre related to them, then it’s likely you’ve spent many-a-night in a venue somewhere screaming along to your favourite anthems with your best mates.

Now, there’s a new club night in town, and it’ll beat anything you’ve ever been to before. Not convinced? Take a look below.

If you’re still not over the fact that My Chemical Romance broke up, or if you can't go a day without listening to Fall Out Boy, then Emo Nite is for you. The songs that saw you through your biggest life moments, will see you through to the early hours at O2 Academy Islington, plus with it being a Slam Dunk Festival pre-party, you can expect to hear all your favourites from the bands on the line-up, plus the 00s heart-breakers and modern-day pop-punk party hits that you love. To get you in the mood, guest-DJs Grayscale put together a very handy playlist.

Starting three years ago in the depths of LA, Emo Nite became such a must-go-to event that they’ve now spread their wings to cities all over America and have everyone from Demi Lovato to The Chainsmokers turning up.

Co-founder, Babs, explains why it’s been so successful: “Emo Nite is a really fun party with a very positive, welcoming crowd and you never know what's going to happen throughout the night. You can round up your best mates or roll solo and make new friends - just be ready to sing-a-long and dance all night.”

You can see exactly what she's talking about in the video below:

You wouldn’t believe the amount of surprise performances that have happened at Emo Nite over the past few years and one look through their YouTube channel will give you a bad case of FOMO.

My favourite moment was when Skrillex re-joined From First To Last and performed some songs at our LA event" says Babs, "It was unforgettable and I may or may not have cried.”

Fortunately, the London party is jam-packed full of special guests, including: State Champs, PVRIS, Creeper, John Feldmann from Goldfinger and Grayscale, who will all be taking turns in the DJ booth on the night. Plus, you never know who might just treat us to a live performance.

Don't miss out on potentially the best night of your life, grab your tickets now.
